Common Questions

How do I care for my new hair?
Make sure that you use a spray in conditioner very regularly this will keep the hair easy to maintain, tangle free and the major thing soft and touchable. Brush it with care just because you can’t feel it doesn’t mean that you can be rough and don’t brush to much as both of these will cause the hair to fall out or be pulled out. Wash your new hair with a good quality shampoo of course we will suggest that you use the Ken Paves Shampoo and conditioner that we sell, but if you choose to go a different route then just remember to get a color care shampoo and a good color care conditioner. For Human Hair pieces definitely get a deep conditioner to this will keep the softness and the life of your piece. Don’t overdo it with the deep conditioner a couple times a month is perfect. Don’t just shampoo your new hair either you know that squeaky clean sound when you wash the windows really good this will be the sounds that you hear and no added softness.
The hair seems too shiny when I took it out of the package and looks fake, what do I do?
Synthetic hair does have a tendency to be more on the shiny side we found this to be true too, so don’t worry. We found the best solution for this is to spray the piece with detangling conditioner the baby or kids one by Johnson and Johnson or by Suave, if you want to choose a fruity flavor of your choice. It tends to take out some of the overly shine to any piece. Wearing it around the house when you first get it and brushing it lightly and not too much but playing with it will get some of the shine out as well as help any of the loose hairs that happen with every piece that you get fall out so that it doesn’t happen while you are showing it off.
The hair is falling out what do I do?
The hair on any piece has those hairs that will come out please do not worry about it. Remember it was sewn in so there are always those strands that don’t make it in. If you have had the product and are brushing it and notice that there is quite a few strands coming out, you are brushing to hard or with too fine tooth of a comb and need to use a wider toothed brush or comb. If you have a tangle don’t pull on it this is what the magical baby detangling spray is perfect for spray on and then always work on the tangle from the bottom the part closest to the ends of the hair. This will help get the tangle out without pulling out to much hair.
My clips broke what can I do? I want to add more clips how can I?
Luckily clips are easy to replace and also to put in. You can purchase them at any beauty supply store for very little under a dollar. You sew them in pretty much just like a button they have to holes on either side and you just sew them in looping it through a couple of times making sure it feels tight and secure. Usually when you do it yourself you can make it more secure then how the machine can at the factory. You can sew clips on to any part that has an area to sew on whether on wigs, extensions, or hairpieces. Many people find it as an extra security for wigs; they are a great way to feel more secure with the piece you are wearing.
